Union City, Ohio provides Fire & Rescue (EMS) services to the residents and businesses within Union City Ohio and Indiana, as well as the residents and businesses within Jackson Township, Washington Township, Mississinawa Township in Ohio and Jackson and Wayne Townships in Indiana. The Union City Fire and Rescue Department employs more than forty emergency medical technicians and firefighters to meet your public safety needs. The Village owns and maintains three fully equipped ambulances. These ambulances are used for emergency calls as well as non emergency medical transfers.

The local ambulance service is licensed with the State of Ohio and the State of Indiana.
