Harter Park

Union City Indiana’s Harter Park is a 60 acre facility located on Union City’s west side. The park has numerous facilities, including Union City’s:

• public pool
• soccer fields
• a show horse area
• shelter houses
• and a bandstand

Harter Park also contains the Harry & June Loy walking trail, a one-mile asphalt trail that winds through the park. Numerous trees with identification information line the trail.

The park has facilities for campers as well, with electric and water connections available, as well as an on-site waste dumping station.

Shelter facilities may also be reserved. Reservations may be made by calling the city clerk's office at 765-964-6534 ext. 5.

Harter Park Swimming Pool

Harter Park Swimming Pool in Union City Indiana is a popular spot during warm summer days. The pool is located on Union City – Winchester Rd. on the south side of Harter Park.  The pool boasts:

• a circular water slide
• diving platforms
• and a kiddie pool for the little ones

Life Guards are on duty during regular pool hours which are 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday and 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday thru Sunday.

The Union City pool is available for reservations after hours for groups and private parties. You may reserve the pool by calling 765-964-6160.

 The Union City Swim Team utilizes Harter Park pool for competitions and practice.  High School student and young adults as always encouraged to become life guards, which gives them a chance at some fun summer employment.
