Productive Concepts, Inc. (PCI) was founded in 1999 by Rob Lykins. A privately held company, PCI is located in Union City, Indiana and continues to grow as evidenced by our new manufacturing facility. As our name attests, our strengths lie in our ability to study existing operations that may be difficult to manage, time consuming, space consuming and inefficient. We identify and eliminate the waste in those operations using our diverse background in Kaizen principles and other lean manufacturing techniques. The result is a streamlined, lean, efficient operation that saves our Customers money, time and space. We are also experienced in all types of assembly,warehousing and distribution operations.
PCI was certified to the ISO-9001:2000 international quality standard in May 2003. We have had a total of three surveillance audits since our certification, resulting in just one minor non-conformity. We are very proud of our systems and of the performance record we have earned since our certification.
Some of our products and services include cutting edge technology such as Hybrid conversion of strip chassis for the walk-in step van market and shuttle bus market, hybrid component assemblies, exhaust system assemblies, brake and fuel line assemblies, ABS brake modules, emission canisters, kitting and tire and wheel assemblies.
Our Customers include Azure Dynamics, Workhorse Custom Chassis, Autocar, Lusida Rubber, Timco and Bosal Corporation.
We have over 120 years of combined experience in the automotive industry in areas such as quality assurance, lean manufacturing, engineering, Kaizen, just in time (JIT) delivery systems, sequencing, inventory and materials control, purchasing and world class manufacturing.
